1. Crash Course Kids Video
Have you seen the Crash Course Kids series? These are fabulous new videos on YouTube. Teens explain weathering and erosion. This video goes into mechanical and chemical weathering and erosion (including the differences). They show how the coastline in Massachusetts has changed over the past few decades. 2. Erosion Experiment
This experiment allows students to test the effects of erosion. Do gravel, rocks, or plants best prevent erosion? Test it out. Measure the amount of soil eroded. Record data. Read this post to learn more >Image may be NSFW.

3. Concept Mapping
Want to give students an opportunity to extend Make a concept map to show the relationships among terms. I made cards with important terms and a couple of blank cards for students to add their own important terms. Students decide how the words are connected and label the connection. Erosion Stations on TpT give students opportunities for exploration, analysis, and review. There are 9 station activities that students can complete at their own pace. 5. Agents of Weathering, Erosion, and Deposition Sort

6. Talk a Walk
Walk around the school as a class or ask students to look around at home or in their neighborhoods for signs of erosion. Have sediments been dropped off in a new place due to heavy rainfall? Do rocks appear broken down due to ice? Image may be NSFW.

7. Experiencing Landforms with Google Earth
